ACMI & ACMI X:

Speculative Rebrand:
RMIT Masters of Visual Communication Design/Australian Centre for the Moving Image

The Australian Centre for the Moving Image (ACMI) is Australia’s national museum of film, television, video games, digital culture and art.

This project, required the speculative rebrand of ACMI, including a master brand proposal, sub-brands and collateral material for one of two new Labs.

The results were a revised word mark depicting a syntactical and fluid typographic arrangement whereby the misalignment of ‘MI’ (Moving Image) implies a state of movement — a trait that is descriptive of the galleries curatorial concern.
