ABSTRACT
The Situationist International (est 1957) sought to confront the prevailing social and economic orders of a post-war Europe–dry wood waiting for a spark (Luke Haines, 2018).
Their consensus professed that the conditions of urban society in light of an irreverent consumerism and capitalist orthodoxy was one that was increasingly mediated through the essence of appearance–that of the dominant image of need–marred by contradiction in social and economic life.
Ironically, and contrary to their mission statement, I went about exploring what a business proposal for one of the 20th Centuries most notorious, theatrical, and daring social experiments.
