Discussions of Personality and Personal Effects—Visual Communication and Publication Design as a Tool for Complimenting Personal Collections.
ABSTRACT
This fourteen week artefact led research project sought to create and explore intersections between personality, personal effects, curation and the act of collecting through experimentation in visual communication and publication design.
This act of making, as documented in a series of three publications or ‘Programmes’ communicates the surface levels detail of personal effects, but more importantly has contributed to the illumination of relationships between otherwise disparate and seemingly unrelated objects and artefacts–namely found photographic content, personal/domestic effects, and pre-recorded music.
